Photographic Memory Games

In the Shichida Class attended by my daughter, memory games are played regularly. There are many types of memory games. This is what I discovered as I sat in the class with my daughter. I have not so good memory and my memory seems deteriorated after I delivered her and as I grew older. However, I learnt as much as she does in the class. Sometimes, her memory power beats mine. I figure out that I have used my left brain too much that my right brain cannot be tuned easily.

Why is Memory Play so important I asked and found this answer from the class?

Unlike the left brain which tries to connect information in an organized way, the right brain memory works with bits of information concurrently and can absorb and memorize mass information at high speed. What is commonly called photographic memory, is the ability to memorize something at one glance, is function of the right brain. Systemic training of children using the high-speed mass memorization function is a fundamental part of the Shichida curriculum following various types of image visualization lessons.

During the parenting class and preview session, a video on a game show showing off how Shichida children able to remember a book within 1 minute and have the ability to write out a selected page off the book! This video completely blown me off! 3 Shichida trained children and 1 non Shichida trained child was on the TV program. All are given the same book, which they have not seen before. This book has words only, no graphics. When the MC started the clock, I can see the children concentrating on the book flipping it in speed from end to end, again and again for couple of times. Within a minute, they are supposed to let go off the book. Then the when the MC asked them to write the full pages within a certain page, all three Shichida children are able to write down words by words from that page. Some of them did not complete it their writing is too slow but they are able to recite the remainder of the page!

I am totally amazed! I wanted that kind of photographic memory too! These Shichida children are trained when they are baby and their innate potential to memorize is been explored and exposed to the maximum. Though my daughter joined only this year at 4.8 months. I do hope she will also have unlashed her potential in photographic memory. Well, the principle told us, it take time or even years before such results can be shown. She is very frank and advises parents to be very patient before they can see results. The principle also stated that children should be exposed to this as young as babies in order to best of the memory power!
